In this video i begin a teardown of one of the workhorses of 1990s broadcasting, the venerable Sony DVW-500 Digital Betacam. This machine first saw use in 1995 and is now EOL so take this opportunity to take a look inside and see what makes it different to the Betacam SP format it replaced.
