https://daviddas.com — Learn expert tips on organizing and managing your Kontakt library. In this video, we go through my personal process for tagging and folderizing Kontakt libraries on macOS in an easily accessible way. I present the system that has worked best for me while working on my Mac.

This is a new version of previously-published videos. I no longer recommend using Finder aliases, because they are very difficult/impossible to port from computer to computer, which becomes problematic in the case of a hard drive failure. The new method, described in this video, is much more robust.

If you would like to speed up the process of tagging folders, here are some additional tips: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/tag-finder-items-macos-keyboard-shortcuts/

The AppleScript I use (which resizes the window and puts it into column view) is this:
tell application „Finder“

tell front window

if current view ≠ column view then

set current view to column view

end if

end tell

end tell
